Subject: 90's Shows
Hey Nick Sun-

Try the Richfield Ohio shows Sept. 07 and 08 1990...first shows after Brent went down. Terrapin Station on the 8th still sends shivers down my spine...Going to the Furthur show in SF on new years eve at the Bill Graham Civic.

Subject: Super Sharp Partytime
Jerry is on fire; in this show his voice is the perfect combination of strength and vulnerablity that evokes a wise grandfather and no one evokes deep emotion like Jerry particularly on Stella Blue here. Other highlights: Cold Rain and Snow, Friend, Althea, the Wheel, and Shakedown. The band sounds sharp and crisp in this recording and Jerry is pure on guitar and voice. He sounds healthy and strong. The whole band is playing like they are having a great time and there is an upbeat tempo on so many songs it sounds like they are playing with no fear which is when they are at their best. I guess I'm partial because I was at this show and it was in my home town. So many good friends who weren't deadheads went with me; I was glad the boys were on that night; as you know, there is nothing like praising something to other people and then their experience of the same thing sucks. But that wasn't the case here. Got some new converts to their fanbase that night and it was an out of mind good time. Hard to believe it's been almost thirteen years since I've seen a show but this one ranks near the top of the ones that I saw. Great to re-live the memories. Any other 90's suggestions out there?
